VP Human Resources – Recruitment mandate

Hera Human Resources, headhunters in Montreal, is looking for a Vice-President of Human Resources for a fast-growing manufacturing company in Quebec. This senior management position is strategic for the organization and reports directly to the President and CEO.

Role Description

The VP Human Resources will be responsible for defining and driving the company’s overall human resources strategy. This role encompasses strategic workforce planning, organizational development, total rewards management, and HR policy development. The person will act as a strategic partner to the Executive Committee to support the growth of the company.

Primary Responsibilities

The incumbent will lead an HR team and oversee all functions: talent acquisition, labour relations, skills development, occupational health and safety, and change management. The person will also be responsible for ensuring legal compliance in human resources management, managing collective bargaining, and implementing talent mobilization and retention programs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related discipline, complemented by a minimum of fifteen years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years in a leadership role. The CHRP designation is highly desired. Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, mobilizing leadership and strategic vision are essential to succeed in this position.
