Pension Coordinator
Description
The Pension Coordinator provides support to pension plans (U.S. and Canada). This role includes providing support to pension specialists within HR Shared Services, Payroll and the Pension Centre of Expertise on all matters related to system interfaces with external program administrators, rule changes in the IT management system, and reconciliations or calculations of cash contribution remittances.
Specifically, you will:
- Validate the compliance of system data to ensure that results are adequate for the various pension and 401-k plan applications;
- Prepare and send loan assessments and repayments to the supplier;
- Prepare electronic transfer requests for each of the appropriate plans and ensure the accuracy of the data transferred; in addition to making manual corrections to files;
- Prepare and send the required data to the supplier each pay period, as well as year-end files;
- Review the supplier’s processes and review any exceptions or errors; Ensure that information on demographic changes, data collection, contributions, wages and hours worked is consistent
- Participate in the annual validation of pension adjustment amounts;
- Assist and support internal and external auditors during annual audits;
- Answer questions and provide assistance to various internal resources.
Your profile:
- Hold a college or university degree in administration, accounting or a related field;
- Have two (2) years of experience in the pension field;
- Very good command of French and English (oral and written).
- Proficiency in the SAP system is an invaluable asset;
- Have strong proven analytical skills, meticulousness and an ability to summarize information;
- Possess the ability to understand and adapt quickly to a fast-paced and changing environment;
- Enjoy working with numbers and systems;
- Be recognized for your problem-solving skills;
- Have a dynamic approach in your communication with your colleagues;
- Have an advanced level of knowledge of Excel;
