Total Compensation Advisor
Description
Responsibilities
- Support the HR team and managers in the application of the salary review program, bonuses and the maintenance of the new salary structure
- Provide recommendations and proceed with the implementation, communication and administration of policies, directives, programs and processes supporting the total compensation strategy
- Perform market research, statistical analysis, and other types of research necessary for the management and development of the total rewards strategy
- Evaluate total rewards programs, policies and processes and actively participate in their improvement with the HR team
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of total rewards best practices to ensure that employees are offered competitive compensation
- Ensure the implementation and renewal of employee benefits programs on a national and international scale
- Develop and deliver training content to managers and HR team members
- Develop and maintain internal salary scales
- Ensure the company’s compliance with the Pay Equity Act
- Participate in special projects of the total rewards team
- Participate in the management of group insurance and retirement savings plan programs
- Participate in the year-end compensation process
- Perform all other related tasks related to annual or recurring compensation, group insurance and retirement savings plan processes, as required and according to the responsibilities
- Guide management and supervisory staff in the application and implementation of direct and indirect compensation, benefits and pension programs and procedures
- Provide career guidance in determining employee compensation levels and related matters
Skills
- Experience in job evaluation, market marking, and variable compensation
- Analytical mind, attention to detail and good judgment
- Organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team and management
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and structure information from a variety of sources and apply basic statistical analysis tools and functions.
- Develop appropriate recommendations within the constraints and parameters identified to resolve salary issues.
- Knowledge of labour and pay equity legislation
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Autonomous with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with minimal supervision.
- Have a good understanding of the interrelationship of all total rewards programs
- Discreet and able to work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Good working knowledge of the other components of total compensation, employee benefits and retirement savings plan.
- Bilingualism (oral and written)
