Hera Human Resources, an executive search firm in Montreal, carried out this mandate for a company in the construction and civil engineering sector. The position of project manager involved the complete management of infrastructure projects, from initial planning to final delivery of the work.

Job Responsibilities

The project manager was responsible for coordinating all site operations, ensuring that deadlines were met and ensuring that the work carried out was in compliance. Responsibilities included the administrative and accounting follow-up of projects, the preparation of compensation requests for additional work and participation in the estimation of new projects.

The role required close coordination with subcontractors, suppliers and field teams to ensure that the sites ran smoothly. The Project Manager was also responsible for managing budgets, preparing progress reports, and ensuring communication with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications sought

The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, with relevant experience in construction project management. Knowledge of Quebec construction standards and regulations, estimating and operations management skills were essential for this position.
