Director of Operations – Agri-Food Industry

Hera Human Resources, headhunters in Montreal, is looking for an Operations Manager for an agri-food company based in Montérégie. This senior management position is responsible for all production, logistics and maintenance activities of the plant.

Primary Responsibilities

The Director of Operations will oversee all operational functions including production, quality assurance, maintenance and logistics. The person will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, managing operational budgets, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves managing a team of more than 200 employees spread over several shifts.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, administration or a related discipline, complemented by a minimum of ten years of experience in operations management in the manufacturing sector. Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, experience in a unionized environment and production management skills are essential.
