In the context of a growing manufacturing company, the Senior Advisor – Total Compensation acts as a partner to the human resources team on all issues related to total rewards. You will develop, implement and improve diverse and innovative compensation and benefits strategies, practices and programs in order to provide an outstanding experience for our employees and candidates, both in Canada and in the United States.

In your daily life, you will have to:

  • Supporting human resources and talent acquisition partners, as well as managers in compensation-related decisions and challenges;
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve total compensation policies and procedures;
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s total compensation and benefits programs with the objective of increasing employee attraction and retention capabilities;
  • Develop executive compensation programs, including the design of short-term and long-term programs as well as the annual information circular;
  • Ensure salary evaluation and internal equity analyses;
  • Carry out the annual salary review cycle in collaboration with the teams involved;
  • Administer group insurance and pension plan programs;
  • Monitor market trends and propose innovative solutions aligned with the achievement of objectives;
  • Any other related tasks.

What you need to succeed in this position:

Knowledge

  • Significant knowledge of best practices in total compensation in Quebec and North America;
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite and MS 365;
  • Good knowledge of labour standards laws;
  • Ability to work in a bilingual environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate and structure results effectively;
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities effectively in order to meet objectives;
  • Ability to work with diplomacy and discretion;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;

Education and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, human resources, actuarial science or other similar field;
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a position specializing in total rewards;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
