Plant Manager – Plastics Packaging

Hera Human Resources, an executive search firm in Montreal, is looking for a Plant Manager for a company in the plastics and packaging sector in Montérégie. This position is responsible for the complete management of the plant’s operations, including production, maintenance, quality and health and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

The Plant Manager will ensure the overall operational performance of the site, manage a team of supervisors and technicians, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The person will be responsible for meeting production, quality and cost objectives, maintaining a safe work environment and managing relations with the union. The role includes planning equipment investments and collaborating with operations management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or administrative engineering, complemented by a minimum of ten years of experience in manufacturing management. Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, experience in a unionized environment and production management skills are essential for this management position.
