The Controller will oversee the management of financial statements, the analysis of accounting data, the verification of compliance with financial regulations and the development of strategies to improve financial efficiency. You supervise a team of 4 employees.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the entire accounting cycle.
2. Prepare budget forecasts.
3. Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
4. Produce financial analyses and models.
5. Coordinate the activities of external auditors.
6. Provide reserve and working capital funds.
7. Evaluate the financial performance of the company, identify trends, recommend measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
8. Responsible for the annual audit file.
9. Analyze financial results and budget variances, and then suggest corrective measures.
10. Provide management with critical information to enable them to make informed decisions.
11. Ensure compliance with various regulations.
12. Evaluate accounting systems and internal control systems.
13. Actively collaborate in the implementation of the new ERP system.
14. Hire, train and retain qualified accounting staff.
15. Management of special projects in the improvement of business processes.
16. Management of the liability and group insurance file.
17. Be a resource person to respond to the requests of your employees.

Skills required

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Hold the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Sense of organization and responsibility.

Working conditions

• Salary starting at $115,000 and going up to $130,000 annually depending on experience.
