Main responsibilities

You will have the chance to support colleagues from the moment a workplace incident is reported. You will also play a leadership role in fostering a prevention-oriented culture by promoting safe work practices and developing tools and processes to detect and manage occupational risks.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting managers in managing claims files;
• Identifying potential risks and recommending safe work methods to address them;
• Developing and updating personalized prevention programs for members;
• Assisting members during CNESST inspections, as needed;
• Developing and promoting occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures;
• Providing training on OHS processes to all members;
• Acting as a resource person regarding applicable OHS laws, standards, and regulations;
• Contributing to the department’s development.

Qualifications and required skills

• Eight (8) years of experience in OHS within the manufacturing sector;
• Training in occupational health and safety or ergonomics is an asset;
• Experience in managing OHS-related files;
• Autonomy, initiative, and a proactive mindset toward development;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
• Any combination of education and/or experience deemed equivalent will be considered;
• Functional English.
