Senior Advisor, Labour Relations
Description
Under the responsibility of the Human Resources Department, the incumbent assists management in the management of labour relations and supports the management team in the application of the collective agreement.
Responsibilities
- Advise and support managers in the application and interpretation of the collective agreement.
- Ensure that a harmonious work environment is maintained through appropriate interventions with managers and employees.
- Act as the main point of contact between the employer and union representatives.
- Represents the employer on labour relations and grievance management committees.
- Manage daily human resources requests and provide appropriate responses.
- Ensure the up-to-date and integrity of employee records.
- Oversee the management of occupational health and safety files.
- Update employee records in HR management systems.
- Write internal communications and organize training for managers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR projects.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of HR practices.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations, labour law or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Excellent command of French (oral and written).
- Intermediate level English (oral and written).
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel software.
- Experience with ADP tools (an asset).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Autonomy, good judgment and ability to synthesize.
- Ability to objectively analyze the issues and propose appropriate solutions in a win-win approach.
- Ability to engage and engage managers and employees.
