Hera Human Resources, headhunters in Montreal, carried out this recruitment mandate for an electrical component manufacturer established for more than 25 years. The company, recognized as one of the leaders in its sector, designs and manufactures a complete range of products for the hydroelectric, solar and wind energy industries.
Job Responsibilities
The Accounting Technician was responsible for the entire accounting cycle, accounting for approximately 60% of their duties. This included managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and tracking budgets. The person also participated in the preparation of the monthly financial statements in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
The administrative aspect of the position, representing about 40% of the time, included support for daily operations, document management and coordination with the various departments of the company. This versatile role required great rigour and the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications sought
The ideal candidate would have a college diploma in accounting or equivalent training, with relevant experience in bookkeeping in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in accounting software, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial management skills completed the desired profile.
