Our client has been manufacturing electrical components for over 25 years. The company has grown into one of the most prominent manufacturers in its field, offering a full range of high-performance products designed and built using advanced techniques for the hydroelectric, solar, and wind energy sectors.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Technician to perform the following responsibilities:

Accounting tasks (60% of the time):

• Handle the complete accounting cycle;
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and employee benefits;
• Prepare bank deposits;
• Prepare government reports and filings;
• Prepare or assist in preparing various accounting reports and analyses;
• Prepare year-end files and reports for the external accountant.

Administrative tasks (40% of the time):

• Provide administrative support to management team members;
• Draft, proofread, and format various documents;
• Perform administrative tasks related to human resources management;
• Handle mail processing;
• Enter data into various software systems.

Required qualifications

• DEC in Accounting (or equivalent training);
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Computer skills: MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word);
• Knowledge of JobBoss software (an asset);
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and French;
• Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks;
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and handling frequent priority changes.

• 38.5 hours per week – schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday;
