Financial Controller – Manufacturing SME

Hera Human Resources, headhunters in Montreal, is looking for a Financial Controller for a growing manufacturing SME. This position is responsible for the reliability of financial reporting and the internal control of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will oversee the full accounting cycle, the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, external audits and tax compliance. The person will manage the budget process, analyze production cost variances, ensure internal control and optimize financial processes. The role includes managing a small accounting team and supporting the CFO in strategic decisions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, complemented by a minimum of five years of accounting experience, including two years in a controller role. Experience in a manufacturing environment and mastery of ERP systems are decisive assets.
