Summary of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Health, Safety and Environment Specialist, the incumbent of this position supports the zero-accident culture at the operational and administrative level for the St-Hyacinthe plant.

Nature and scope of the function:  Develop or review training related to the various internal health and safety programs and see to the logistics of their implementation and follow-up;  Manage the fire prevention file;  Organize vaccination sessions, audiometric tests and hearing plugs;  Identify, account, audit risks and help determine risk control measures (accidents, near pass, etc.)  Coordinate or carry out job safety analyses, risk analyses, accident analyses and enter information into the appropriate files;  Carry out monthly inspections (e.g. first aid kit)  Carry out prevention and awareness in the field  Develop and use various means of communication on health and safety elements (POKA, TV, emails, etc.);  Participate in the OHS Committee;  Coordinate and carry out various health and safety audits, inspections and analyses and ensure the follow-up of the resulting elements; Job requirements:  Hold a bachelor’s degree, certificate or DEC in occupational hygiene, health and safety or any other field related to occupational health and safety  Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing field unionized in similar functions;  Have a good knowledge of the various laws and regulations related to health, safety and the environment;  Ability to carry out different projects simultaneously;  Demonstrate autonomy and consistently demonstrate a high level of team spirit;  Fluency in French and a functional level of spoken and written English;  Good command of computer tools – Word, Excel, PPT, Synapse, SMAAT, etc.
